Escala Group is a consolidated global collectibles network. The Company is a leading auctioneer of stamps, coins, arms, armor and militaria, and other memorabilia, targeting both collectors and dealers. Escala Group is also a merchant/dealer of certain collectibles and trader of precious metals. The Company's collectibles offerings span the modest to ultra high-end price spectrum. Escala Group conducts its operations in two business segments: collectibles and trading.
Collectibles
Escala Group’s companies that focus on the philatelic (stamps) side of the collectibles segment are H.R. Harmer and Nutmeg Stamp Sales, both in North America; Corinphila Auktionen of Zurich, Switzerland and Heinrich Kohler of Wiesbaden, Germany, both in our European division; and John Bull Stamp Auctions, Ltd., which operates within our Asia division. These companies focus primarily the sales of philatelic materials through various types of auctions.
Escala Group’s companies operating with the numismatics (coins) division of the collectibles segment are Teletrade, Bowers and Merena Auctions, North American Certified Trading, and Spectrum Numismatics International. The first three of these companies are engaged in the sale of coins through auction, while Spectrum Numismatics is one of the largest wholesalers of rare coins in the U.S.
Greg Martin Auctions, which specializes in arms, armor and militaria, operates within the Company's art and antiques division, also part of the collectibles segment.
